Perhaps you wonder why women victims of domestic violence keep returning to their husbands…. In the case of migrant women, their own families are so far away, and they cannot stay with their friends forever. Their husbands become the only other human beings they can depend on.

Anong impormasyon at suporta ang kanilang kailangan? Ano ang kulang sa kasalukuyang sistema para masegurado ang proteksiyon sa mga hindi-Hapong babae na biktima ng domestic violence o DV?
Ngayong linggo sa Radio Purple mapapakinggan natin ang estorya ng mga Pinay na nakaranas ng DV. Pagkatapos na panghinaan ng loob muli nilang naipanumbalik ang lakas at naisaayos ang buhay kasama ang kanilang mga anak. Pakinggan natin kung paano nila nabawi ang lakas ng loob, tiwala sa sariling kakayahan at tiwala sa kapwa. Alamin din natin kung ano ang kulang sa kasalukuyang sistema para sa proteksiyon ng hindi Hapong babae na biktima ng DV dito sa Japan.

What kind of support system do foreign women need in order to overcome their sufferings as victims and move on to survive their experiences?
To confront their legal issues and go beyond their negative experiences, the women find that individual efforts, and the good intentions of their friends and families are not enough. Are there systematic support services for migrant women who have suffered DV and hold psychological scars? What kind of role do civic groups serve in helping the recovery of DV victims?
